Protein Oats with Chai Spiced Stewed Apples

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup organic rolled oats
  • 1 ¼ cups milk of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • splash maple syrup
  • splash vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 apple, cubed
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tbsp chai spice mix cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, mace
  • walnuts

Method
 

  1. Wash and cube apple.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tbsp of chai spice until dissolved.
  3. Add cut apples to a pan and pour chai liquid overtop.
  4. Let simmer on low until liquid reduces.
  5. To a pot, add milk and bring to a low simmer.
  6. Add oats, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. Mix and let reduce.
  7. Once the oats have reduced, add protein powder and mix.
  8. Add to a bowl and top with apples and additional sauce on top.
  9. Top with walnuts and enjoy!
