Chocolate Covered Almonds

Ingredients
  

  • dry roasted organic almonds
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips (or whatever you prefer)
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin coconut oil
  • flaky sea salt (optional)

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl add in your chocolate and coconut oil and place in the microwave or a double broiler until melted.
  3. Add almonds to melted chocolate and make sure they are completely covered.
  4. Use a fork to remove almonds one at a time and let the excess chocolate drip off. Place on baking sheet.
  5. Repeat until all almonds are removed from the chocolate.
  6. *Optional- sprinkle flaky sea salt on the almonds while still wet.
  7. Place in the freezer for about 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate is hard.
  8. *Optional- once chocolate is hard you can place the almonds in more chocolate to double coat them.
  9. Once the chocolate is hard, store in a glass container and enjoy for up to 1 week!
