This was my first time making a cherry crumble and it did not disappoint!

This cherry crumble recipe has the perfect balance of sweet and tart, making it the perfect mid-day treat or dessert! It’s also loaded with vitamin c and antioxidants and is gluten and refined sugar free (if you leave the ice cream out!)

Cherry Crumble

Ingredients

Cherry Filling

  • 3 cups cherries, fresh or frozen, cut in half and pitted
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp tapioca or arrowroot starch
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°f
  • Cut cherries in half and remove the pit.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine all of the cherry ingredients and set aside.
  • To a separate bowl, add all of the crumble ingredients together and mix until well combined.
  • Grease a 9×9 baking dish or preferred dish and add cherries. Top with crumble, making sure to cover cherries completely.
  • Bake for 32-35 minutes or until crumble is golden brown.
  • Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
