Granola is the perfect addition to any yogurt bowl, fruit dish, or as an easy on-the-go snack. Unfortunately, most store-bought granola has unnecessary added sugar, seed oils and other fillers. Healthy eating shouldn’t be as hard as it is these days, so I wanted to share my easy-to-make homemade granola with no unnecessary BS! This granola contains fiber, protein, healthy fats and is sweetened naturally from honey. It’s also made to taste, so you can add in other things like dried fruit, walnuts, etc., or mix up the flavor profile to make it pumpkin spice, peanut butter chocolate chip, blueberry crisp… the options are limitless! This granola is easy and delicious and exactly what you’re breakfast has been missing!

Homemade Granola
Servings 5
Ingredients
- 1½ cups gluten free old fashioned oats, organic
- ½ cup quinoa, uncooked, organic
- ⅓ cup whole or sliced almonds, organic
- ⅓ cup pumpkin seeds, organic
- ⅓ cup sunflower seeds, organic
- 3 tbsp hemp seeds
- ⅓ cup coconut flakes, organic and desiccated
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup raw honey
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325℉
- Line a raised edge baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients. *Leave out the cinnamon and salt.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together coconut oil, honey, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until fully combined. *You may have to melt coconut oil in the microwave for 10-20 seconds before this step.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is completely coated and evenly incorporated.
- Pour the mixture on your lined baking sheet, making sure not to spread out completely. This will help create bigger chunks of granola.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, keeping an eye on it to make sure the nuts don’t burn. It should be golden brown. *Don’t mix the granola if you want chunks.
- Once almost completely cooled, place the baking sheet in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to allow the coconut oil and honey to harden. *If you don’t like big chunks, skip this part and mix the granola together.
- Once chilled, break the granola into big chunks and place in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Enjoy!
