Protein Oats with Chai Spiced Stewed Apples

Ingredients

  • ½ cup organic rolled oats
  • 1 ¼ cups milk of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • splash maple syrup
  • splash vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 apple, cubed
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tbsp chai spice mix cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, mace
  • walnuts

Instructions

  • Wash and cube apple.
  • Mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tbsp of chai spice until dissolved.
  • Add cut apples to a pan and pour chai liquid overtop.
  • Let simmer on low until liquid reduces.
  • To a pot, add milk and bring to a low simmer.
  • Add oats, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. Mix and let reduce.
  • Once the oats have reduced, add protein powder and mix.
  • Add to a bowl and top with apples and additional sauce on top.
  • Top with walnuts and enjoy!
